We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager (f/m) to join the EMEA Program Management team in Germany. You'll be responsible for the a to z Program Management of a number of projects in our Client's Corporate Real Estate (CRE) portfolio, ranging from reconfiguration and refurbishment of existing space to expansion of existing offices in response to the business needs in the existing locations. (Offices with Headcount from 20 to 4000).
Management through to successful delivery of all project under their control from a to z and a minimum 3 months operation or until full close out has been agreed, whichever is later, including design, budget/cost/changes, schedule, procurement, construction, and handover to Facilities, performance feedback and lessons learned.
Follow the six stage process and integrated delivery model for all projects, being fully responsible for project delivery from Initiate (Stage 2) to Close (Stage 6).
Constantly be identifying and managing risks associated with delivery to the agreed charter, communicating and reporting issues, health status and action plan across all elements of the project.
Act as the centre of knowledge for each project, drive solutions to problems, and chair project customer calls or provide updates regularly
Support the Lead Program Manager for Post Occupancy Programs with the production and agreement of the project charter which will be the Program Managers game plan for the project.
Procurement and management of all project vendors excluding the local broker.
Regular reporting to and interaction with the relevant Client Area Manager on projects as their customer in terms of time line, budget, quality and monitoring client satisfaction
Lead the local design teams, understand the details, constrains, challenge the technical solutions and drive for an integrative solution
Ensuring all necessary internal and external project approvals are sought and governance processes are followed (Project charter, spend and transaction approvals, design authority approvals, procurement approvals, legal approvals, landlord lease compliance activities, wayleaves, building licenses and occupation licenses).
Acting as the Customer from the point of view of the project vendors.
Degree qualified in Construction, Engineering or Architecture
Experienced in managing multiple programs, between 1000 and 20,000 square metres in size, of fit outs of corporate offices, ideally gained in an international context
A fluent German speaker with excellent spoken and written English language skills
Skilled in Stakeholder engagement and management of relationships
Be comfortable discussing strategic matters and operating at a tactical and operational level
Be able to simultaneously act as a program manager, internal Corporate Real Estate ambassador, educator, analyst, and solutions architect on a number of different projects
Be able to work within an entrepreneurial culture – delivering solutions, providing leadership and communication – but not afraid to dive into details
Be passionate about successfully delivering projects under your responsibility
Have an in-depth knowledge of Project Management with a financial focus
Be an effective communicator
Be able to work autonomously, in multiple locations, travelling internationally on a regular basis
Have the ability to confidently operate within a fast-paced and complex environment
