Senior Project Manager (f/m)

EMEA Program Management Team

Berlin or Munich​


​We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager (f/m) to join the EMEA Program Management team in Germany.  This position will be responsible for the a to z Program Management of a number of  construction projects in our Client's Corporate Real Estate portfolio in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, ranging from expansion of existing offices to delivery of fully fitted out offices in new locations. (Headcount from 20 to 4000).



  • Management through to successful delivery of all projects under their control from A to Z and a minimum 3 months operation or until full close out has been agreed, whichever is later, including site selection, design, budget/cost/changes, schedule, procurement, construction, and handover to Facilities, performance feedback and lessons learned.

  • Follow the six stage process and integrated delivery model for all projects, being fully responsible for project delivery from Initiate (Stage 2) to Close (Stage 6).

  • Ensure all project participants, Area Manager and other Stakeholders are managed to deliver to parameters agreed in the project charter (customer brief, headcount, time, cost, quality, safety and customer satisfaction).

  • Constantly be identifying and managing risks, communicating and reporting issues, health status and action plan across all elements of the project.

  • Support of the Regional Program Manager with the production and agreement of the project charter which will be the Program Managers game plan for the project.

  • Procurement and management of all project vendors excluding the local broker.

  • Ensuring all necessary internal and external project approvals are sought and governance processes are followed (Project charter, spend and transaction approvals, design authority approvals, procurement approvals, legal approvals, landlord lease compliance activities, wayleaves, building licenses and occupation licenses).

​Required Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Construction, Engineering or Architecture

  • Have a demonstrable track record in a similar role, to include construction and fit outs of corporate offices sized 1,000 to 20,000 square metres, ideally gained in an international context

  • Fluent German speaker with excellent written and spoken English language skills

  • Excellent Stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills

  • Be comfortable discussing strategic matters and operating at a tactical and operational level

  • Be able to simultaneously act as a program manager, internal CRE ambassador, educator, analyst, and solutions architect on a number of different projects

  • Be able to work within an entrepreneurial culture – delivering solutions, providing leadership and communication – but not afraid to dive into details

  • Be passionate about successfully delivering projects under your responsibility

  • Have an in-depth knowledge of Project Management with a financial focus

  • Be able to win the trust and co-operation of key project stakeholders

  • Be an effective communicator

  • Be able to work autonomously, in multiple locations, travelling internationally on a regular basis

  • Have the ability to confidently operate within a fast-paced and complex environment
