Stuttgart

Located at the heart of one of Europe’s most thriving metropolitan regions, Stuttgart and its environs are a preferred location for innovative high-tech companies. Stuttgart is considered Germany’s most dynamic metropolitan region in terms of exports, is one of Germany’s financial centres and offers a buoyant market for service providers.

Mobility has traditionally played a special role here. It was here that Gottlieb Daimler invented the motor car back in 1886. The company he founded remained headquartered in Stuttgart and maintains its most important research, development and production operations here. Major auto industry suppliers, including many world leaders, most notably Robert Bosch GmbH, cooperate closely with the local academic, science and research institutions. This cluster makes Stuttgart the world’s foremost centre of expertise for mobility.

At the same time, the Baden-Württemberg state capital is a highly livable city with an excellent transportation infrastructure, which is connected to all major European economic centres. The “Stuttgart 21” railway and urban development project will tie the city even more closely into Europe’s growing high-speed rail network. By any measure, Stuttgart is among the most interesting German markets for commercial real estate investment.
